SUN PRAIRIE -- Two Sun Prairie nonprofits are working together to build a single, newer, bigger location to serve more Sun Prairie families in need. The Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry and the Red Barn, a secondhand clothing store that closed two years ago, are raising money to construct a building to house both organizations -- the Sunshine Place.
"We've outgrown our facility," said Mark Thompson, president of the Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry.
Plans for the Sunshine Place call for a 7,000-square-foot building at 18 Rickel Road, just off Main Street in downtown Sun Prairie. The goal ...
