Aug. 21--RADFORD -- The victory came a day late. But Keven Wood's smoky post-race burnout Sunday didn't sell the fans at Motor Mile Speedway short.
Wood, the 21-year-old son of Wood Brothers/JTG Racing co-owner Len Wood, scored his second career Late Model Stock triumph and first at the Pulaski County oval a day after all proceedings were postponed because of thunderstorms.
Wood passed Jason Lawrence on lap 65 and held off the Pilot driver through three late restarts in the crash-infested U.S. Army/State Electric 100.
"Wow, that's all I can say!" Wood said. "I can't even think right now."
