The beer industry should rejoice. Why?, because beer is taking its place at the supper table, and that is just the place for the beverage of moderation.
Consumers have long known that beer goes very well with certain foods; pizza and chili to name two. Common American lagers pair well with both.
Nowadays, as beer consumers try new and different beer styles, they're finding other good matches. Beer dinners (in which beer is used in cooking the meal and appropriate beers are served alongside) have become popular events all across the country, and chefs in brew-pubs and fancy hotels alike are beginning to explore the culinary attributes of beer.
