Resale shops are not a novelty in Madison, but the goal is to staff the newest operation in the city with only volunteers. This is one thing that makes it unusual.
It also will be smaller than the average thrift store, and therefore more discriminating in its merchandise. All the proceeds from sales will stay in Madison, to benefit one local nonprofit organization in many ways.
The HospiceCare Thrift Store opens Saturday in leased space at 122 Junction Road, across from the west side Target, in a former computer store. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. A free hot dog lunch goes to those ...
