Aug. 22--Riviera Beach -- Bad luck for a group of military veterans over the Memorial Day weekend has turned into good luck for patients at the VA Medical Center. After a thief ran off with the VFW's donation jug, filled with about $1,000, from in front of the Wal-Mart west of Boca Raton, irate contributors soon donated 15 times that amount to restore the loss, said Al Lesser, quartermaster for Post 10556.
