Crayons.

They've been around forever - remember "raw umber" and "sky blue"? - but you might not recognize them today. Crayola now makes crayons with built-in erasers and twistable points; no more peeling off the paper or breaking crayons in sharpeners designed for pencils. Slick Stix are bigger crayons which promise bright, smooth color like "Mom's lipstick." Crayons designed to use on construction paper - "They bounce right off the paper" - draw raves from local art teachers.
