SOUTH African National Parks is trying to attract young black people by writing national parks into the script of the South African television soapie, Isidingo.
National Parks chief operating officer Sydney Soundy said in a briefing to the parliamentary portfolio committee on environmental affairs and tourism yesterday, where he presented the national parks budget, that most visitors to national parks were white.
National Parks wanted to retain white visitors, but to expand their "guest profile" to include more black visitors, especially young black people.
They were "informing the black market" about national parks through radio ...
