Aug. 23--CHICAGO -- The best-case estimate for Aaron Rowand is to miss four weeks. That means the Phillies centerfielder could return Sept. 18, before the end of the season. But even Rowand seemed to have a more realistic expectation of his left ankle, which he broke Monday night in the Phillies' 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Rowand, who has been known to sacrifice his body to make a catch, violently collided with second baseman Chase Utley in shallow center field while both pursued a fly ball.
