The Florida Bar had a good year in the Florida Legislature in the just ended regular session, but it will take continuing grassroots work to have similar success in the future.
Past and future Bar legislative leaders brought that message to the Board of Governors at its recent meeting.
President-elect designate Frank Angones, outgoing chair of the Legislation Committee, noted that the legislature approved 55 new judgeships, approved a DNA testing bill, and required civics education in middle school.
