While most teens spend their summer shooting hoops on the court or swimming at the pool, Jonathan Strickland pilots airplanes-and breaks world records in the process.

The 14-year-old recently earned a page in history books when he became the youngest solo pilot to successfully fly a helicopter and airplane on the same day. The Inglewood resident also set the record for being the youngest African-American to solo a helicopter, the youngest African-American to fly a helicopter internationally and the youngest African-American to fly a helicopter roundtrip internationally.
