Belarussian Metallurgical Plant to launch development program in 2007

MINSK. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Belarussian Metallurgical Plant (BMZ), the country's largest steelmaker, has drafted a strategic development program for the period to 2025 that calls for gradual modernization of production facilities, a company executive told Interfax.

He did not specify the cost of the program, implementation of which will begin in 2007. However, BMZ plans to invest $50 million of its own funds next year in boosting production.
