Despite an emergency pit stop, the New Cars will ride again.
The new millennium version of Boston's beloved Cars, with Todd Rundgren taking the role of founding member Ric Ocasek, plans to jump-start its canceled tour next month.
The group's plans stalled after guitarist Elliot Easton suffered a broken left clavicle on June 5 when the tour bus swerved to avoid a crash.
Easton refused to let his injury put the group's Road Rage Tour in park. He played four shows in pain, including a June 7 performance at the Bank of America Pavilion.
