Aug. 24--Palm Beach County's hope to land a second, major biotech institute suffered a serious setback Wednesday when the Torrey Pines Institute of Molecular Studies found a more willing partner in Port St. Lucie.
Less than 24 hours after a tense meeting with Palm Beach County commissioners ended without an agreement, Torrey Pines founder Richard Houghten made good on his threat to deal with someone else.
