For manufacturers of antacids, however, it's a blessing: with consumers feeling tension over everything from their job security to escalating regional
conflicts, sales of antacids have been brisk over the last few years. McNeil Consumer Products Co. dominated the sales of branded antacids over the past 12 months with four of the top five SKUs and two of the top 10 brands, according to Towne-Oller & Associates.
