Aug. 25--A new coalition of Connecticut-based insurance companies formed to spread awareness about the industry's positive effect on the state is conspicuously missing a Fairfield County contingent.
Noticeably absent is the reinsurance segment, which employs several thousand people in lower Fairfield County and has become a de facto industry cluster.
