With their appeal to first-time buyers, empty-nesters, and young professionals - all looking for the financial advantage of homeownership without the maintenance demands of a larger home - condominiums continue to be built in downtown Washington and the Washington suburbs.
Builders often locate these buildings near a Metro station or a bus stop for easier transportation, and frequently they are part of a mixed-used development of shops, restaurants and even office space.
In Prince George's County, several builders are developing new condominiums, often located near a Metro Station.
