China to build pilot TD-SCDMA networks in 6 Olympic Games cities by year-end
Shanghai. August 25. INTERFAX-CHINA - China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Ministry of Information Industry have reached a consensus that pilot TD-SCDMA networks are to be built in China's 6 Olympic Games supporting cities, local media reported.
Tianjin, Shanghai, Qingdao, Hebei's Qinghuangdao, Shenyang and Hong Kong, the 6 Olympic Games supporting cities will be the first to have near-commercial TD-SCDMA networks in China, Chinese newspaper 21st Century Business Herald reported.
