Apparently, Compton's NewMedia wasn't content with the level of implausibility normally engendered at Las Vegas' Comdex. The multimedia encyclopedia purveyor took advantage of the occasion to take shovels in hand and add enough buffalo chips to the PR pyre to generate forbidding smoke signals in business and computer publications nationwide.
With deadpan faces that would do Rodney Dangerfield proud, the Compton's crew announced that the firm had been granted a patent ceding it ownership of a multimedia search system using a plurality of entry-path means which indicate interrelatedness of information.
