BEIJING, Aug 28 Asia Pulse - China's LCD TV industry has landed a blow on the domestic traditional CRT TV market and LCD TVs are beginning to replace CRT TVs at a record-high rate.

Experts here attribute its rapid development to the operation and the mass production of new TFT-LCD panels.

Statistics from market researcher Displaysearch show that the sales volume of LCD TV was 16.8 million sets on the world market in the first half of 2006, with a sales value of US$11.3 billion. In the second quarter of this year, the sales volume of LCD TV grew by 28 per cent quarter on quarter to hit 9.4 million sets.
