MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Society of Transplantation (AST) is pleased to announce Dr. Jeffrey S. Crippin as the society's president for 2006-2007.

Dr. Crippin assumed his responsibilities at the AST business meeting that was held in July at the World Transplant Congress in Boston. He will serve as president when AST marks its 25th anniversary in May.

Dr. Crippin is a professor of medicine at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. where he serves as medical director of liver transplantation. He attended medical school at the University of Kansas and then completed a residency in internal medicine at ...
