Aug. 29--PANAMA CITY BEACH -- Panama City Beach's Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort has plans to open a new conference center, the SeaWatch, and could unveil it as soon as Thanksgiving, a resort official said Monday.
Philip Colvin, the Sunspree's marketing director, said the resort hopes to have the Sea-Watch open by the end of 2006, after two years of planning and construction delays.
Colvin said the SeaWatch's opening will help meet a growing need for meeting space in Panama City Beach. He said the resort's management believes it will attract a lot of business and corporate groups in the Sunspree's off-season.
