Exxon Mobil may have a new chief at the helm, but Chairman and Chief Executive Rex Tillerson has no plans to deviate far from the business model set by Standard Oil founder John D. Rockefeller almost 125 years ago and continued by almost every CEO since. In fact, aside from the phenomenal changes in technology, the late John D. would find himself at home in the sharply focused, tightly disciplined, success-driven operating strategy the company still follows, Tillerson told EIG in a recent interview at Exxon's world headquarters outside Dallas.
