Aug. 30--One of the hot big-city dining trends will filter down to the hinterlands in a week or so when Emilio's Restaurant & Lounge opens in Hudson. The restaurant is Spanish, not Mexican, with a menu of nuanced Spanish and European dishes led by 10 daily fresh-fish specials.
The 190-seat restaurant is owned by Emilio Nunez, whose parents and brother, Fernando, the restaurant's chef, were born in Spain. Fernando Nunez owned the defunct Viva Barcelona in Westlake.
The menu will be studded with Spanish ingredients such as manchego cheese, chorizo sausage and serrano ham. A seafood paella will feature mussels, shrimp, scallops, ...
