CHICAGO, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Kate DiCamillo has been named the recipient of the 2006 Chicago Tribune Prize for Young Adult Fiction. DiCamillo is the author of 2001 Newbery Honor Book "Because of Winn-Dixie," 2004 Newbery Medal-winner "The Tale of Desperaux" and a series featuring the adventurous pig Mercy Watson. Her latest book is "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane."
