Phoenix-- The Arizona Department of Transportation announced June 29 that it has identified an alignment that would connect with Interstate 10 at 55th Avenue as the "preliminary preferred build alternative" for the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway.
ADOT, after consulting with the Federal Highway Administration, evaluated multiple alignments for the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway in the southwest Valley that would link the regional freeway with I-10 at either 55th Avenue, 71st Avenue or Loop 101.
