CHIEF electron microscopic technician, Vijay Bandu, 59, of Jewerlal Road, Northdale, has been chosen to represent South Africa at the 16th International Microscopy Congress conference in Sapporo, Japan.
An ecstatic Bandu will leave for Japan on Friday where he will present a paper on the "Work of a Gecko". This conference takes place every four years under the auspices of the International Federation of Microscopy.
The conference offers five days of plenary lectures, topical interest symposiums and poster presentations, acknowledged by world leaders in microscopy.
