LOS ANGELES -- Toledo, OH native Matt Swan, currently general manager of a Marco's Pizza restaurant in Las Vegas, took top honors in the "Best Gourmet Pizza" in the California Pizza Championships, held here earlier this week. Swan won the Gourmet Pizza segment with the Marco's "White Cheezy Pizza."
Swan, who moved to Las Vegas to manage Marco's Pizza stores there, beat out a field of top West Coast Gourmet Pizza Makers and win the $750 first prize and earn the right to participate in the Houston Regional Competition later this year.
