Karachi, August 31 (PPI): Obstructive sleep apnoea in middle age might increase the risk of coronary artery disease by five-fold. Researchers from the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Goteborg, Sweden found that however, successful treatment of the sleep apnoea significantly reduces that risk. Sleep apnoea is a condition in which the person has brief but frequent episodes during the night when breathing becomes blocked.
