Blue Ribbon Cheese Company expects to break ground early next year on a new California cheese manufacturing plant.
The $225 million plant, to be located within 60 miles of Fresno, is scheduled to open in 2009.
The facility will take in 6.8 millions pounds of milk daily to produce 680,000 pounds of cheese per day, making it the one of the largest cheese plants in the Golden State, Blue Ribbon Cheese said.
