I was privileged to attend the funeral service for nursing leader Catherine Logan in Auckland last month. Many others from nursing and NZNO who had known, respected and loved her were also there.
Friends shared memories from her nursing training at Middlemore Hospital through to the present day. They described traits such as her drive, determination, attention to detail and encyclopaedic knowledge, as well as her caring, passion for nursing, inability to be punctual and her sense of humour.
