Aug. 30--For the past six years, Black Butte Ranch's 100 year-round and 300 summer employees have received a unique benefit from their employer: free rides to work.
The ranch was one of the first in Central Oregon to start vanpooling, said Human Resources Director Greg Cole. Now, more employers are turning to transportation incentives to attract workers. At Black Butte Ranch, the vanpooling program began as a way to help employees living outside the Sisters area.
