Supermarket Waitrose has seen a massive rise in veal sales.
Sales of British Veal have surged by 45 per cent since the product was championed by writer and broadcaster Janet Street Porter on Channel 4's The F-Word.
Ms Street Porter said high standards of farming could produce high quality veal, without compromising animal welfare.
