THERE is little point in pretending that Saturday's St Leger has the racing world agog with excitement. It is a weak renewal, and while there is no need to apologise for the fact, it is disappointing, to say the least, that such a big prize is going to be so poorly contested.
We have, of course, been here before. The Leger has its critics and the old race has been buried more times than a dog's bone.
