MIAMI _ It was ugly. It was awful. It was as soggy a picture of football Monday as it was a night at the Orange Bowl.
Unless you were Florida State.
It was lop-sided. It was defense-minded. It the kind of game that you winced in watching, what with the three yards rushing for both teams (combined) and no touchdowns passing for either school with a tradition of passing.
Unless you were a Seminole fan.
Once upon a time, this game was a measuring stick of college-football greatness. Monday only brought confirmation of goodness for the winner.
