A heart-warming celebration yesterday paid tribute to Wales' unsung bone marrow donors and recipients. The historic get-together in Cardiff included three pairs of donors and their healthy recipients - believed to be the first time in the UK, if not the world, for so many to be gathered together.
Max Boyce, Shakin' Stevens and Simon Weston were among the stars at the Cardiff International Arena's gala luncheon helping to mark the Welsh Bone Marrow Registry's landmark 500th donor match.
