WASHINGTON -- CUNA is urging NCUA to clarify several aspects of a proposal to revise the agency's filing requirements for suspicious activity reports (SARs). While noting it supports the rationale for the revisions, including a proposal to include fundamental SAR filing guidance directly in the agency's regulation, the trade group said there is potential for "confusion" and that NCUA "should explain that notification is flexible in terms of format and timing and is dependant on the individual credit union situation."
