Sep. 5--BURJ DUBAI AT LEVEL 70: Burj Dubai, the towering centrepiece of Emaar Properties' Downtown Burj Dubai development, is now 70 levels out of the ground. The tower getting a level every three days. More than 200,000m cubic metres of concrete and 38,000 metric tons of steel rebar have been used so far in its construction.
MARITIME PROJECT ON TRACK: Reclamation work on Dubai Maritime City has finished, allowing for the design and construction phase to start. A quay wall surrounding the peninsula is being built in the next phase. When completed, Dubai Maritime City will spread across 227 hectares of man-made peninsula between Port Rashid and Dubai Dry Docks.
