While airport passengers seem to be fairly well-covered, in-building systems providers insist the market is far from saturated as networks grow more complex.

A few years ago, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport personnel spent months searching for a neutral host telecom system like the one they wanted to install, but they came up empty. Today, other airports are calling Atlanta, asking for more information about its system.

The solution didn't come easy. The cellular/Wi-Fi coverage deployment, part of a broader 3-year project to upgrade the airport's telecom system, involved many meetings with wireless carrier and Wi-Fi company ...
