Sep. 6--Sophomores -- the underclassmen at Farmington High School -- flooded the hallways on the first day of school without fears of getting lost or being teased or intimidated. About 430 students entered a gymnasium Tuesday morning to the cheers, screams and high-fives from their student mentors and school staff. Hip-hop music blared through speakers, creating a clublike atmosphere at 7:32 a.m. Posters adorned the walls proclaiming, "We love our sophomores." Any hazing or bullying would have to wait.
