SYDNEY, Sept 7 Asia Pulse - The head of one of the country's biggest network of financial planners has described recent bad publicity surrounding the profession as "a storm in a tea cup".
Australian Wealth Management (AUW:ASX) chief executive officer Chris Kelaher said much of the regulatory and media criticism of financial planners was unfair, and focused too much on a small minority of bad planners.
"People are looking for a headline and the recent treatment of financial planners is pretty much a storm in a tea cup," Mr Kelaher said.
