ABSTRACT
In this work we present the synthesis, structural and spectroscopic characterization of [Co.sup.2+] coordination compounds with ethyl 4-methyl-5-imidazolecarboxylate (emizco). The effects of emizco, the metal salts Co[Cl.sub.2]6[H.sub.2]O, Co[Br.sub.2], Co[(N[O.sub.3]).sub.2] x 6[H.sub.2]O and their metal coordination compounds [[Co(emizco).sub.2][Cl.sub.2]], [Co[(emizco).sub.2][Br.sub.2]] x [H.sub.2]O, [Co[(emizco).sub.2][([H.sub.2]O]).sub.2]][(N[O.sub.3]).sub.2] x 2[H.sub.2]O were evaluated on photosynthesis in spinach chloroplasts. Seed germination and seedling growth of the monocotyledonous species Lolium multiflorum and Triticum aestivum and the ...
