- Automobile markets announced big-bang investments on Thursday to increase capacity to meet the growing demand at home and abroad. Leading the lot was Suzuki Motor Corp.(SMC) which announced a fresh investment of Rs.30 billion Suzuki chief Osamu Suzuki indicated that talks were on with Japanese partner Nissan for a new car plant in India, which requires an additional Rs.25 billion investment. SMC also said it would build a small car targeted at the European market.
