Sep. 8--A girl in a denim mini skirt strolled out of the food court at Lehigh University, hand in hand with a young man. She glanced past him and looked at a display outlining the dangers of fetal alcohol syndrome.
After a few seconds, she turned her head and kept walking.
The Bethlehem Health Bureau on Thursday arranged the display to preface Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Day, which is Saturday. As students and faculty members passed the table, some slowed their pace and curiously craned their heads, but few took the time to stop.
