Sep. 8--Imagine you just downloaded Britney Spears' "Toxic" from a legal on-line music file-sharing service. Now you recommend it to your friend, and she also buys it from the same Web site. And you get 5 cents every time a friend follows up on one of your music suggestions.

That's the business plan of rVibe, a company in South Bethlehem that will launch a trial version of its on-line music service in November. The company believes the convenience of buying songs based on recommendations from friends will differentiate its service.
