Twins righthander Carlos Silva didn't realize there was fallout from his performance on Wednesday until he read the morning papers.
Then he entered the clubhouse and noticed a couple of strange looks from teammates.
Then came a meeting with manager Ron Gardenhire about his outing, during which he suddenly removed himself from the game despite six outstanding innings and only 59 pitches.
Silva, holding a 2-0 lead, said he felt sick at the time. The Twins wound up losing 4-2. A somber postgame clubhouse and comments by Gardenhire suggested Silva let the team down by not grinding it out. It was the third time this ...
