Chittenango residents who are craving pizza, wings and other offerings from New York Pizzeria won't have to wait much longer to get their fix.
Owners Mark Cooper and Lou Santy were busy Thursday working on the interior of 239 Genesee St., in the village.
The restaurant's previous location, 278 Genesee St., was damaged by fire on Aug. 21.
Cooper said he hopes to open at the new location in the next few weeks.
"People have been asking when we'll reopen," he said. "I'd like it to be on or before Oct. 1."
