PHILADELPHIA _ Few players, including Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, will be under more pressure in Sunday's opener at Houston than Texans rookie defensive end Mario Williams.
Pressure automatically accompanies the overall No. 1 selection in the draft. Williams, the 6-foot-7, 291-pounder from North Carolina State, will be trying to live up to the six-year, $54 million contract he signed. In that deal, $26.5 million was guaranteed.
Of course, Williams will not only try to justify the selection but that the Texans selected him over perceived fan-favorite Reggie Bush, the Heisman Trophy-winning running back from USC.
