Sep. 9--Paul Nevarez and the rest of the Live Oak High varsity football team ran all over visiting Lindhurst High on Friday night for a 39-0 victory. Nevarez carried the ball 24 times for 174 yards. He amassed 143 yards in the first half, when he broke free three times on runs of more than 30 yards each. The senior Lion also starred on defense, coming up with two of Live Oak's three interceptions. It was the second straight time in as many games that the Lions held an opponent scoreless. Last week, the Lions (2-0) blanked Sutter, 20-0. "We just want to win games," Live Oak coach Jim Arostegui said. "I don't care about shutouts." ...
