Sep. 9--WORLEY -- Tribal gaming revenue gave the Kroc Community Center in Coeur d'Alene its biggest donation to date Friday with a $1 million pledge -- $100,000 a year over the next decade -- from the Coeur d'Alene Tribe. "It's a huge, huge gift," said Maj. John Chamness, the Salvation Army's Inland Northwest coordinator. "It really helps just solidify our plans to complete the building." Some members of the crowd, made up mostly of school officials there to collect donations to their own districts, gasped when the donation size was announced.
