Sep. 10--WAVERLY -- The harvest moon is about to rise in Northeast Iowa. In a few weeks, combines will be churning through corn and soybean fields. Farmers will work well into the night -- sometimes all night -- to harvest the crop before winter. The combination of a early, wet snow and brittle cornstalks has proved costly in the past.
Long hours harvesting means less time marketing and the risk of missing price rallies. AgVantage FS introduced an online grain marketing program last month to help customers take advantage of market upswings, even if they are too busy to watch tick-by-tick changes on the Chicago Board of Trade. ...
